Entrepreneurial Fatigue

and how to keep pushing on

Startups are hard.

It’s like pushing a boulder up a mountain, except you don’t know how large the mountain is or how long it will actually take.

You can plan the trip, research the trip, and find people to go on the trip with you, but at the end of the day, you’re still pushing an incredibly large boulder up a mountain.

And depending on whether you decided to climb a smaller mountain like Mount Palisade or a colossal one like Mount Everest, your journey will be tough. You will get tired, and there will be times where you think the mountain may be too large for your abilities. You’ll need to take breaks, the boulder might roll down a bit, or maybe you’ll decide you’ll push the boulder up another mountain instead.

The worst part is when you start to question whether or not the mountain is too large or if you’re not strong enough.

Regardless of these roadblocks, it’s important to keep in mind that if you keep pushing, you’re bound to go somewhere.

My advice?

Know yourself incredibly well. Know your strengths and your weaknesses so you can successfully strategize how to push the boulder up the mountain. Likewise, knowing yourself well means knowing why you’re pushing that boulder in the first place.

Are you pushing that boulder up the right mountain?

If not, go find the right mountain.
