Running late at night. Waking up before the sun rises. Meditating.
These are three activities that almost always help me reach a better state of mental clarity. My two questions for today are: How can one maximize this on a day to day basis? and how many levels of clarity can one unlock?
Here are my quick answers to these two questions.
For maximization: Train like it’s a muscle. Test out different techniques to figure out what works, and then combine those techniques in order to reach a maximization point that you’re satisfied with. The key here though is to train it on a daily basis. Start small and then gradually increase the intensity of every mental workout.
In terms of levels: It’s probably like an 80/20 curve. You have likely unlocked 80% of the normal mental focus one can achieve and the remaining 20 are marginal differences that you have yet to unlock. How substantial these differences will make in your life is unknown to me, but I do know that some of the most “successful” figures in our lifetimes have been able to achieve a better level of focus and mental clarity.
What level do you want to reach?
